Oreo chocolate orange cookies
Ingredients
110g unsalted butter
110g light brown sugar
90g caster sugar
1/2 tsp bicarb of soda
5g salt
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
200g plain flour
zest of 1 small orange
180g chocolate dipped oreos
Method:
Preheat your oven to 165 degrees.
Place butter, caster sugar, brown sugar, bicarb and vanilla in a bowl and with electric beaters beat until pale.
Add your egg and beat again unti fully mixed. Scraping the bowl as you go.
Then add your sifted flour and with a rubber spatular, stir your mix.
Zest 1 orange and chop your chocolate coated oreos into small chunks. Add to the bowl and stir.
Once a dough has formed place in the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes.
Then once chilled, roll your dough into 50g portions. Bake at 165 degrees for 14 minutes.
Take out of the oven and let cool.
You can add more Oreos or chocolate on top at this stage.
